Best Vietnamese food so far in Escondido!! Noodles are fresh, not gummy. Goi cun is best I've had here- made to order, not sitting around all afternoon. Plum soda, Vietnam coffee were perfect.
Shrimp and pork were fresh, very tasty and good flavor. I love this place. -

I've ordered from this place once for to go and just recently ate in the restaurant. Both times were very good. I went in on a Thursday night and it was quiet in there. Several people came in to pick up and take home. The service was excellent. I am not sure if they were the owners but they did an excellent job. Food was amazing. I got p.21 which is a beef stew with noodles. It was perfect. We also got some bbq pork spring rolls with some peanut sauce and those were amazing too. I will definitely come eat here again.

Bun rieu is a tricky dish because restaurants make it differently. Bun rieu is a tomato-based broth with vermicelli topped with crab and shrimp. There was one shrimp and no crap and my dinner.
Here at pho Lena they mixed crab paste into their broth. That's quite deceiving because crab is usually in chunks and I couldn't taste of crab in the broth. If I had known, I would've just stuck with pho tai.
